1. Give a nut from an anchor shaft. At an otpuskaniye it is possible a shaft it is necessary to hold from a provorachivaniye by means of an old driving belt. Check of a condition of a rotor

If the device registers infinite resistance, break therefore takes place. The zero indication speaks about short circuit. In both cases assembly is subject to replacement.

Stator check


1. Short circuit of windings of a stator usually is caused by an overheat of assembly and comes to light already during visual check. In the absence of visible signs of damages press one щуп an ohmmeter to lamellar rings, and the second - serially to each of three wires of a stator.

2. For check of windings of a stator on conductivity existence serially probe an ohmmeter each of pairs of windings (1-2, 1-3 and 2-3). Absence of indications testifies to chain break. Normal value lies within a range of 0.10 ÷ 0.11 Ohm.

Check of diodes of the rectifier

Exact check of diodes of vypryamitelny assembly on passing of a current and on a current of leak can be made only by means of the special diagnostic equipment and it is necessary to charge its performance to specialists of car repair shop.

Measurements on windings of a stator and rotor assembly are made according to instructions for Valeo generators (see above) with that only a difference that resistance of statorny windings should make 4 Ohm.

1. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove assembly of a regulator of tension.
2. Carefully clamp the generator in a vice with soft sponges and block a rotor shaft by means of a suitable prutkovy key (the key should be inserted into a nest in an end face of a pin of a shaft). Give a fixing nut. Remove a driving pulley, the remote plug, a shponka and a flange washer.
3. Turn out long through bolts from a forward part of the generator.

4. By means of a screw-driver wring out a forward cover from the stator case. The screw-driver should refuel not more deeply than on 2.0 mm in order to avoid damage of windings. Uncover the drive party together with the rotor placed in it.

5. For replacement of the bearing turn out four fixing bolts from the face party of a cover, then undertake a cover and a rotor, as is shown in an illustration, and knock with assembly about wooden whetstone. The bearing should separate.

6. It is not necessary to make further dismantling of the generator. Assembly is made upside-down. The length of a vystupaniye of brushes is measured, as well as on other generators, by means of a ruler. Soldering of new brushes demands special accuracy should be made in the conditions of a car-care center workshop.
