Check and adjustment of the moments of injection (TNVD Lucas)

Some of jams of access and TNVD installations can be sealed up at manufacturer. It is not necessary to break a plombirovka on the new car protected by guarantee certificates. Do not undertake attempts of performance of settings in the absence of suitable tools. Try not to allow at all hits in TNVD or tubes of nozzles of dirt. Also attentively familiarize with the preventions provided in the section Power supply system - diesel models.


For performance of the forthcoming checks the special probe and a tsiferblatny measuring instrument with an assembly arm (Citroёn No. 4093-TJ) is required. In the absence of near at hand this adaptation it is necessary to charge work to specialists of car repair shop.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If check is made at established on the TNVD engine, instead of in the course of installation of the last, disconnect a negative wire from the battery and cover with polyethylene the generator. Remove forsunochny tubes (see. Removal and TNVD installation, subsection "Removal", item 12).
2. Achieve combination of adjusting drillings of blocking of a cranked shaft (see. Fixing cranked/distributive shaft and TNVD for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact to pistons in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car). Remove blocking tool and turn a shaft back (counter-clockwise) approximately on a turn quarter.

3. Turn out an access stopper from directing from above on the pump case, remove a sealing washer. Enter a special probe in directing, having tracked correctness of landing it on a sealing surface.

For receiving authentic results of measurement the probe should nestle on a sealing surface directing, instead of to its top sponges.

4. Fix on directing the pump an assembly arm of a special measuring instrument (Citroёn No. 4093-TJ), establish on an arm a tsiferblatny measuring instrument so that it the end adjoined to draft of an arm. Adjust the provision of a measuring instrument so that its plunzher appeared in an average part of the course and null the device.

5. Slowly turn a cranked shaft in the direction of normal rotation (clockwise) until again there will be no possibility of introduction of the blocking tool.

6. Having blocked a cranked shaft, consider the measuring instrument indication: it should correspond to the value specified in marking of the pump (with a tolerance of ± 0.04 mm). Marking is put on the plastic disk fixed in a forward part of TNVD, or on шильде, planted on the operating lever.

7. Additional marking is put on pasted on a TNVD case surface a label (1) and шильду (2), fixed on the operating lever (the gas lever) (the Lucas system pump).

8. On each of rotors of the pump there is a rounded pin (c) which situation is accurately exposed at manufacturer. The moment of the beginning of injection is defined by the size "H" at the piston which was in position VMT of the fourth cylinder. This size also is engraved on the labels mentioned above and шильдах.

9. If the result of measurement testifies to need of carrying out adjustment, weaken forward nuts and a back bolt of fastening of the pump and start to turn slowly the TNVD case until the measuring instrument will not fix demanded value. Having achieved satisfactory result, tighten fixture the pump with demanded effort. For the purpose of ensuring access to nuts of fastening of the pump it is necessary to turn out two screws and to remove a panel cover from a radiator wall.
10. Slowly raise a measuring probe so that it left gearing with the directing plug of a rotor of the pump, then take blocking cranked shaft a core. Turn a cranked shaft one turn with three quarters in the direction of normal rotation.
11. Again lower against the stop a measuring probe, having tracked correctness of landing it on directing the pump (see item 3). Null a measuring instrument.
12. Slowly turn a shaft in the normal direction until there will be a possibility of introduction of the blocking tool. Check correctness of adjustment of TNVD.
13. If need for adjustment still takes place, repeat the procedures described in subitem 9 — 12.
14. Having achieved satisfactory result, remove a measuring instrument with an arm and take a probe.
15. Screw in directing the screw with a sealing washer and strongly tighten it.
16. If check was made during pump installation, act, as it is described in the section Removal and TNVD installation.
17. If the pump is established on the engine, return to the place of a tube of nozzles and tighten cap nuts of their shtutserny connections with demanded effort. Connect a negative wire to the battery and remove air from a power supply system (see. Power supply system filling with fuel and removal from it air jams). Start the engine and make adjustment of turns of idling and turns of prevention spontaneous останова (address to Head Routine maintenance).
