Check and adjustment of the maximum turns of the engine

The screw of adjustment of the maximum turns is sealed up at manufacturer. It is meant that need for performance of adjustments hardly will arise. It is not necessary to break a plombirovka before the termination of terms of warranty service of the car. In case of need adjustments their performance will need a tachometer. Alternative methods are described in Head Routine maintenance.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
2. Ask the assistant to squeeze out completely a gas pedal, and by means of a tachometer check the maximum turns of the engine on compliance to their requirements of Specifications. Do not allow operation of the engine on the maximum turns within more than two-three seconds.
3. In case of need, muffle the engine, remove a seal, weaken a lock-nut and by means of the adjusting screw (see illustrations Adjusting points of TNVD of Lucas system and Adjusting points of TNVD of Bosch system) execute correction of the maximum turns of the engine. Again strongly tighten a lock-nut.
4. For check of results of adjustment repeat the procedure described in the item 2.
5. Muffle the engine and disconnect a tachometer.
