Removal of shatunno-piston assemblies

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a head of cylinders, the pallet of a case and the oil pump (see. The repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - petrol engines or the Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines).
2. In the presence of appreciable step wear in the top part of cylinders it it is necessary to remove by means of a special vertical drill in order to avoid damage of pistons in the course of pushing out them from the engine. The considerable height of a step testifies to wear of cylinders.

3. By means of a center punch or paint mark rods and covers of their bottom heads according to their belonging to the cylinders and to each other. Let's remind that it is considered the first GRM next to a drive the cylinder.

4. Having turned a cranked shaft, bring pistons of the first and fourth cylinders into provisions NMT.

5. Give nuts of fastening of a cover of the bottom head of a rod of the piston of the first cylinder. Uncover and take from it the bottom loose leaf of the shatunny bearing. If bearings are in good repair, and will be used further, enclose the loose leaf back in a cover and fix it an adhesive tape.

6. In order to avoid injury of necks of a cranked shaft and a mirror of the cylinder pull on hairpins of fastening of a cover of the bearing pair of pieces of suitable on diameter rubber or plastic hoses.

7. Having rested the wooden handle of a hammer against the top loose leaf of the bearing of the bottom head, вытолкните shatunno-piston assembly at the top the cylinder outside from the engine. At resistance emergence immediately stop extraction of assembly and check completeness of removal of step wear in the top part of the cylinder. Fix the bearing loose leaf in a rod head by means of an adhesive tape.
8. Establish a cover back on a rod, and freely screw fixing nuts.
9. Operating in a similar manner, remove shatunno-piston assembly of the fourth cylinder.
10. Having turned a cranked shaft on 180 °, bring into provisions NMT pistons of the second and third cylinders and repeat the described procedures.
