Removal, partition and installation of the power unit - models with AT

Removal

Engine dismantle from the car is possible only assembled with transmission. The partition of the power unit for the purpose of carrying out major maintenance of the engine can be made later.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Execute the procedures described in the subsection "Removal" of the section Removal, a partition and installation of the power unit - models with RKPP (procedure of an oporozhneniye of transmission is given in Head Routine maintenance).
2. According to the instructions provided in the section Automatic transmission, execute the following procedures:
   a) Remove directing tube щупа measurements of level of ATF;
   b) Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor switch of inhibitor of starters/fires of a backing and a casing of a drive of a speedometer. Disconnect the tire (ы) grounding from the top part of a case of transmission;
   c) Disconnect a driving cable of a choice of transfers;
   d) Disconnect a cable of a drive of a speedometer / disconnect electroconducting from the sensor of speed.

Separation of a transmission from the engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the power unit taken from the car on pair of wooden blocks or a strong workbench.
2. Disconnect a driving cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode from a throttle cam. Moving back along a cable, liberate it from intermediate clamps. Try to remember a route of laying of a cable.
3. Turn out bolts and remove from a transmission case a plate of the bottom cover of a driving disk, having provided with that access to bolts of the converter of rotation. Weaken and turn out the first available bolt, then, turning a cranked shaft for a pulley bolt, serially give the remained bolts of the converter (all their three).
4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a starter.
5. Block the rotation converter, приболтив a metal plate to one of boltovy openings of fastening of a starter, for the purpose of prevention of its loss in the course of transmission office.
6. Check reliability of a podpiraniye of the engine and transmission, then turn out bolts of fastening of a case of the last to the block of cylinders. Remember adjusting position of each of taken bolts and arms fixed by them and holders. At assembly all components should be established strictly on former places, in case of need put landing labels.
7. Accurately separate AT from the engine. Take from the nests in interfaced surfaces of a case of the engine or AT freely planted directing pins and clean them in a reliable place.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If transmission was separated from the engine, execute the procedures described in subitem 2 — 8. Otherwise, pass directly to item 9.
2. Make sure that the plug planted on the central part of a cranked shaft is in good repair. Slightly grease with Molykote G1 type greasing aligning finger of the converter of rotation. Try not to put too much greasing in order to avoid risk of pollution of the converter.
3. Track correctness of installation of directing pins in nests in interfaced surfaces of the engine or transmission.
4. Carefully bring transmission assembly to the engine and plant it on directing pins.
5. Screw bolts of fastening of a case of transmission to the engine block. Track, that all arms removed in the course of dismantle and holders were established under the bolts. Tighten fixture with demanded effort.
6. Remove the metal strip fixing the converter of rotation, achieve combination of carving openings in the converter with openings in a bearing plate and screw all three fixing bolts.
7. Tighten bolts of fastening of the converter with demanded effort, then establish into place the bottom cover of a driving disk.
8. Establish a starter. Strongly tighten fixing bolts.
9. Get assembly of the power unit on the regular place in an impellent compartment of the car (see. Removal, a partition and installation of the power unit - models about RKPP, the subsection "Installation", subitem 11 — 16).
10. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Pay attention to the next moments:
   a) Track correctness of laying and reliability of fastening in intermediate clamps of plaits of electroconducting;
   b) Before introduction of power shafts in transmission replace their epiploons (see. Automatic transmission);
   c) Track correctness of connection and reliability of fastening of hoses of okhladitelny and heating paths;
   d) Do not forget to execute adjustment of a driving cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode, also adjust a cable of a choice of transfers (see. Automatic transmission);
   e) Adjust a gas cable (see appropriate section of Head of the Power supply system and release);
   f) Fill in in the engine and transmission necessary amount of oil/ATF of a demanded grade (see. Manual box of gear shifting).
   g) Fill cooling system (address to Head Routine maintenance).
