Removal and major maintenance of the engine
This part of Head Repair of the engine is devoted to the description of procedures of removal/installation of the power unit, and also the general major maintenance of a head of cylinders, the block and internal components of the engine.
The text of Head contains information in a range from councils on preparation for carrying out major maintenance of the engine and to acquisition of necessary spare parts to the detailed step-by-step description of procedures of removal, check of a condition and installation of various internal components.
Since the section the Order of dismantling of the engine by its preparation for carrying out the major maintenance, all instructions are made on the basis of the assumption that the engine is removed from the car and is established on the assembly stand or a strong workbench. Information concerning repair procedures, which performance does not demand removal of the engine from the car, no less than an operations procedure statement at dismantle, regenerative repair and installation to the place of hinged units, the Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - petrol engines and the Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines (see above), and also in the section the Order of dismantling of the engine are given in appropriate sections by its preparation for carrying out major maintenance and further in the text falls.
