Lock of ignition/blocking of a wheel

The lock of ignition has four basic provisions: S, And, M and D.

At key turn in situation S blocking of a steering column is carried out. To unblock a column, twist slightly a wheel, at the same time without effort turning a key. This situation - the only thing at which the key can be taken from the lock.
Key turn in situation A provides possibility of use of accessories on the parked car (a radio receiver, window regulators, adjustment of seats and so forth). on an instrument guard the control lamp of a charge of the accumulator (5) (see an illustration the Scheme of an arrangement and designation of control lamps of a combination of devices ) lights up.

Ignition joins key turn in M.Pri etom's position on an instrument guard the following control lamps should light up: a charge, ABS, level and pressure of oil, the parking brake, temperature and level of cooling liquid, self-diagnostics of the engine, pressure and level of hydraulic liquid, lobbies and lateral safety cushions, preheat (diesel models), an electronic key and STOP.

Control lamps which should light up at ignition inclusion

As soon as the control lamp “an electronic key” will go out, it is possible to start engine start.

Refusal of control lamps of inclusion at key turn in situation M testifies to presence of malfunctions at the relevant systems.

Key turn in situation D carries out engine start by a starter. As soon as the engine will be started, the key should be released, having allowed it to return back to the situation M answering to a condition of the working engine.

At all do not turn a key in situation D at the working engine!


At all do not take a key from the ignition lock to a full stop of the car. In order to avoid control loss over management and braking, move always with working engine.

Having parked the car and having taken out a key from the ignition lock, make sure of reliability of blocking of a steering column, for what slightly повращайте a steering wheel.

Start of motion

Make sure that the lever of switching of transfers/selector is in neutral situation.

Petrol engine

Engine start

Start of the engine should be made at the released pedal of gas. Continue to turn the engine a starter until it will not be started, however, no more than 10 seconds for attempt.

At air temperature below 0°С, for the purpose of simplification of start of the engine, squeeze out a coupling pedal, then slowly release it.

Engine restart

The engine flood superfluous amount of fuel leads to difficulties at its start. In such situation squeeze out against the stop a pedal of gas and hold her in this situation before engine start. Turn a starter no more than 10 seconds in a row. Right after implementation of start release the ignition key.

Still start does not manage to be carried out after several attempts, address for consultation to specialists of car-care center.

If start of the engine was not made from the first before repeating attempt, wait about 10 seconds, holding a pedal of an accelerator of the wrung out.

Diesel engine

Engine start

Turn a key in situation M (ignition, preheat), wait, while the control lamp of preheat will go out, then start to turn the engine a starter before start implementation.

At air temperature below 0°С, for the purpose of simplification of start of the engine, squeeze out a coupling pedal, then slowly release it.

Do not squeeze out during start a gas pedal.

Before beginning movement after implementation of start of the engine, wait, while the control lamp of pressure and level of hydraulic liquid will go out.

Equipped with system a model turbo-supercharging

Do not suppress the engine, previously let's work as it some time on single turns: it is necessary to allow to fall to acceptable value to turbokompressor turns.

Squeezing of a pedal of gas at the moment of switching off of ignition is fraught with serious damages of a turbokompressor!

At all do not leave the car with working engine in badly ventilated room!

Gear shifting lever

Models with RKPP

The lever of gear shifting is established on the central console of the car.

The scheme of switching is put on an end face of the handle of the lever. Switch transfers smoothly, trying to avoid a gnash and vibrations.

At all do not include a reverse gear to a full stop of the car!

Models with AT

The AT selector lever as well as the gear shifting lever on models from RKPP, is established on the central console of the car. The design of automatic transmission provided the following possible high-speed modes:
R
- the Parking;
R-
Reverse (reverse gear);
N-
Neutral situation;
D-
Movement in a full range of forward transfers;
3-
Movement in a range limited to the three first forward transfers;
2-
Movement in a range limited to the two first forward transfers;
1-
Movement in a range of the first forward transfer.

Unblocking

When switching the AT high-speed modes in the directions specified by shooters (see the nomogram on an illustration above) it is necessary to squeeze out the blokirator button (In) on the lever handle (see in the same place).

Implementation of start of the engine possibly only in two positions of the lever: R or N. In all other provisions start is not obviously possible.

Right after implementation of start of the engine squeeze out on a pedal of a foot brake, then by means of the lever of the selector choose the demanded AT high-speed mode.

Precautionary measures

Carry out switching of high-speed modes only at the squeezed-out pedal of a foot brake.

Before leaving the car, make sure that the lever of the selector is in R.Esli's position the lever of the selector is not transferred to situation P, when opening any of doors of the car the alarm buzzer will sound.

Driving modes

On some models possibility of a choice of two additional modes of driving (besides normal) is provided. To the right of the panel of the lever of the selector two push-button switches, allowing to translate transmission in modes of sports driving and driving in winter conditions are located. The chosen mode of driving, no less than all high-speed modes of transmission are reflected in the indicator switched on in a combination.

At a normal mode of driving both buttons also should be wrung out, and symbols corresponding to them on the indicator of a combination of devices - are put out.

The sports mode is more dynamic, winter promotes softer driving adapted for slippery roads.

When squeezing button, on the corresponding indicator in a combination of devices the symbol lights up, and transmission is transferred to more dynamic mode of gear shifting.

Squeezing of the button carries out a choice of a winter mode of driving (on the indicator of a combination of devices the corresponding symbol lights up). In this mode the first transfer is not used. The car start of motion at transfer of the lever of the selector to situation D is carried out at once on the second transfer. Gear shifting occurs more slowly.

On some models, besides buttons and in the same panel one more button (1), allowing to carry out movement on the first transfer is added at a choice of a high-speed mode 2. Transfer the selector lever to situation 2 and press the button (1). On the indicator in a combination of devices both symbols should go out and. To leave a mode (1) transfer the lever to situation D or repeatedly press the button (1).

The following pressing the button (1) leads to transition to a normal mode of driving (both symbols and).

The simultaneous blinking of symbols and the indicator of a combination of devices indicate a malfunction. In this case inclusion of a reverse (R) can be accompanied by a sensitive push. Consult at specialists of car-care center.

Instructions for use automatic transmission

Parking (R)

Transfer of the lever of the AT selector to situation P allows to avoid risk of spontaneous kickback of the parked car at the expense of blocking of driving wheels. Inclusion of a mode should be carried out only after a full stop of the car. Having made sure that the lever of the selector is transferred to a mode P, cock the parking brake.

Movement by a backing (R)

Reverse inclusion (transfer of the lever of the selector to situation R) should be carried out only after a full stop of the car. At the moment of inclusion it is necessary to hold squeezed out a pedal of a foot brake. Do not squeeze out a gas pedal right after mode switching.

Neutral situation (N)

At all do not transfer the selector lever to situation N during movement (even for short time).

Advance in a full range of transfers (D)

In this situation (D) transmission automatically makes switching between four forward transfers depending on speed of movement of the car and engine turns. When overtaking possibility of automatic switching of transmission on a low gear is provided when squeezing against the stop gas pedals (kick-down mode).

Advance in a range limited to the three first transfers (3)

This mode joins transfer of the lever of the selector to situation 3 and is usually used at movement on a slippery covering, the twisting road, and also at trailer towage.

Advance in a range limited to the two first transfers (2)

This mode is used at movement on a serpentine with the trailer, as a part of a column, or on a cross-country terrain. Transfer the selector lever to situation (2).

Advance in a range limited to the first transfer (1)

The mode should be used only at movement on abrupt slopes with a speed below 50 km/h.

All modes

Do not switch transmission compulsorily to a low gear if turns of the engine exceed value 4000 in a minute.

Gear shifting from situation N in provisions R, D, 2 and 1 should be carried out only at the engine working at small turns, in order to avoid transmission destruction.

Start of the engine is possible only in provisions P or N.

Control system of speed (темпостат)

General information

Tempostat allows to support automatically a constant, chosen at the discretion of the driver (but values of 40 km/h are not lower), speed of movement of the car.

The system should be used only in such road conditions when nothing prevents the car to move with constant speed.

Do not include темпостат on roads with brisk movement, and also on twisting roads and roads with a slippery covering.

The management handle tempostaty (And) is built in in a steering column below the left podrulevy switch. Nearby, in the dashboard the push-button switch темпостата is built in (In).

Inclusion темпостата

When squeezing the push-button switch (In) the control lamp built in in it should light up. The repeated pressing of the button carries out switching off темпостата (the lamp should go out).

Choice of cruiser speed of movement

Having squeezed out a gas pedal, disperse the car till demanded speed which want then to support with the help темпостата. Push the handle A up or down: the chosen speed will be brought in memory of system.

During movement in case of need the driver can always raise speed, having pressed a gas pedal (for example, when overtaking). At a pedal otpuskaniye speed will automatically return to the chosen value.

Short movement of the handle of management up it is possible to carry out adjustment supported tempostaty cruiser value of speed towards increase. At a handle otzhimaniye down supported speed, respectively, will decrease.

At included темпостате do not disturb spontaneous movings of a pedal of gas, holding on it a foot.

Cancellation of the chosen cruiser mode can be carried out in two ways: pull on itself the handle A (see an illustration above), or squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake.

Return to remembered tempostaty to a high-speed mode after its cancellation can be carried out by repeated fast shift of the handle up.

Parking brake and system of anti-blocking of brakes

Parking brake

To put in action the parking brake, it is necessary to cock the lever of its management located in a back part of the central console of the car. The more a platform bias on which the car is parked, the it is necessary to cock the lever more strongly. The simplification of raising of the lever is promoted by preliminary squeezing of a foot brake.

In any case, with a view of an additional guarantee of safety, besides the parking brake include also first/reverse gear (models from RKPP), or transfer the selector lever to situation P (models from AT). Forward wheels develop so that in case of spontaneous kickback of the car they rested at once against a sidewalk border (in the presence of that).

For an otpuskaniye of the parking brake pull a control lever up and press the button built in in its end face (see an arrow on illustrations).

If at the included ignition the parking brake is cocked, or released not up to the end, on an instrument guard the corresponding control lamp (see the left bottom corner of an illustration) will light up.

System of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS)

This system is established on some models and considerably increases traffic safety, preventing premature blocking of wheels of the car at sharp braking or at weak coupling of wheels with the road.

The system allows to keep control over management even at sharp braking on very slippery covering.

Functionality of all basic elements of ABS is supervised by the electronic ABS control unit (ECU). Poll of a condition of components of system is made by the block both at the moment of ignition inclusion, and in the course of movement.

The control lamp of ABS lights up at inclusion of ignition and should go out in 2 seconds. If the lamp continues to burn, it testifies to malfunctions in system. Operation of a control lamp during movement also means detection by system of self-checking of refusals. ABS is thus disconnected, however, the brake system continues to function not less in a usual mode.

In order to avoid more serious refusals of system the car should be driven away for carrying out diagnostics of necessary repair in a car-care center workshop.

Remember that ABS in no way cannot be considered as panacea from any surprises! Moving on a slippery paving (ice, small gravel, moisture, etc.), observe limiting care!
